Another concrete step towards an important redevelopment and maintenance work of one of the main arteries of the Barone district. This was announced by city councilor Giulia Procopiwhich expresses its satisfaction with the council’s green light for the financing agreement scheme between the Infrastructure Department of the Calabria Region and the Municipality of Catanzaro, aimed at carrying out the safety intervention of the roadway in via Curtatone.

“These are works for which, in recent months, funding of around 100 thousand euros had been planned and which will soon, thanks to this new obligation, enter the operational phase, allowing us to put an end to critical issues relating to safety and traffic which have been waiting a long time to be resolved. The positive work carried out by the Land Management sector and by the councillor Raffaele Scalise in finding the funds, made available by the Region, it will therefore allow us to follow up on a request that I had requested on behalf of all the residents of Barone. The interventions on via Curtatone include, among other things, the arrangement of the road surface, the replacement of manholes and the construction of new drains. After the signing of the agreement – concludes Procopi – we are therefore awaiting the award for the start of the works which, in terms of circulation and correct regulation of water, take on strategic importance for the populous eastern area of the city”.
