VENAFRO. Yesterday afternoon, the soldiers of the Operational Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Venafro, together with those of the Carabinieri Station of Sesto Campano, as part of a service aimed at the repression of drug crimes, following prolonged and intense activity of observation, control and shadowing, proceeded with the arrest, in flagrante delicto, of a young resident in the Venafrana area, for the crime of dealing and possession for the purpose of dealing of narcotic substances.
In particular, the service originated from the control carried out by the military personnel who stopped a buyer, already known to the offices, who confessed to having bought the narcotic in the center of Venafro from a young boy dressed in black. With the elements acquired and thanks to their widespread knowledge of the area, the investigators managed to locate and identify him. After blocking him, they found him in possession of a dose of “hashish” ready to be sold.
The search also extended to the boy’s home and allowed the discovery of numerous doses of the same narcotic substance already packaged and ready for sale (for a total weight of approximately 80 grams) as well as tools for cutting, weighing and packaging. Various tools for the cultivation and drying of “marijuana” were also found, as well as the cash sum of several hundred euros in banknotes of various denominations. Everything was seized.
The subject was arrested and, following the hearing held the following morning, the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Isernia, fully agreeing with the accusatory system, validated the arrest and ordered the obligation to stay in the Municipality of Sesto Campano with various requirements.
