BOLZANO. Four days of sport, holidays, fun and of course also good food. One of the most anticipated events opened yesterday at the Bolzano Fair, the 46th edition of “Free time”. There are many new features this year, starting with proposals for the outdoors, the garden and holidays, with a rich program of events that focuses on the three themes that characterize the event, namely sport, food and gaming.

Sport is once again at the center of the event, especially through Alperia Sport Hero, an initiative now in its sixth edition and designed for all children and young people up to 14 years of age. The objective is to introduce young people to sport in a playful way, encouraging them to practice more activities, build important social relationships and internalize significant values ​​through fun.

The “Tempo Libero” fair offers local clubs the opportunity to present their activities through “Sportissimo”, actively involving the public. Furthermore, to celebrate the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Division I, Group A, in Bolzano, each holder of a valid ticket for Tempo Libero 2024 will receive a 5 euro discount at the ticket offices of the Sparkasse Arena for one or more matches next Sunday, April 28th.

As for food, the Street Food Festival – now in its fifth year – presents 14 “food trucks” from all over Italy and offers delicacies from all over the world; it is open daily, today and tomorrow until 11pm, with free entry from 6.30pm. But that’s not all about Food: Saporita is back, the area at the fair entirely dedicated to Italian gastronomic excellence.

Within the “Gaming” world, the Gaming Court will once again be the master, this year on an even larger area entirely dedicated to digital and analogue gaming, with more than 40 interactive stations and video games available for tournaments and challenges. Ample space is dedicated to camping, with an exhibition area of ​​over 2,500 square meters with 25 prestigious brands: from compact or luxury campers to off-road vehicles and caravans. «Through new proposals, such as the Street Food Festival and the Gaming theme, in recent years we have managed to significantly rejuvenate the fair. Tempo Libero 2024 is attractive for all age groups and attracts young people and families from across the region and beyond”, comments Thomas Mur, director of Fiera Bolzano. Today entry is free (from 9.30am to 6.30pm) and for tomorrow and Sunday please remember that the 5 euro online ticket is valid as a ticket for the use of all public transport in South Tyrol for the fair and from fair.
