The call for family doctors – Pescara

PESCARA. The regional council approved, following the proposal of the Health Councilor Nicoletta Verì, the announcement of the public competition for exams for admission to the three-year specific training course in General Medicine 2024-2027. There are 44 places available. The course allows you to obtain the diploma necessary to practice as a general practitioner within the National Health Service. The doctors found suitable for the competition will be included in a ranking published in the Official Bulletin of the Region. The course lasts three years and requires compulsory attendance. It begins within the month of November and ends within 36 months from the start date. Attendance involves a full-time commitment, for a total of at least 4,800 hours over the three-year period, of which 1/3 for theoretical teaching activities and 2/3 for practical training activities. «The course», we read in the management decision published by the Region, «aims to train a professional who has the ability to operate in the field of primary care, placing the individual at the centre, with the typical approach of general medicine, problem-based, holistic, continuous and transversal, community-oriented. It also aims to communicate to the professional the principle that general medicine must deal with both sick and healthy people (in the latter case with preventive purposes)”. Doctors in training admitted through the competition will be awarded a scholarship for an annual amount of 11,603 euros. (uc)
