GROSSETO – The home duel against the penultimate Ponsacco counts as the fifteenth draw in the championship for Grosseto. A 2-2 draw full of regrets and thrills, with roller-coaster injury time and which in the standings equates to fourth place on a par with Tau Altopascio (archive photo by Paolo Orlando).
In front of twelve hundred spectators at the Zecchini, the guests collected the first scoring opportunities, with Panattoni first threatening the rival area and then breaking the deadlock in the 13th minute, surprising the Maremma defence. Ponsacco immediately came close to taking the lead but the locals took the lead with Romairone’s low shot on the half hour mark. Between one substitution and another, a shot from Innocenti was just wide. To the side is Nocciolini’s, at the start of the five minutes of added time allowed. In the 48th minute everything was perfect for an incursion by Innocenti, who found Panattoni ready to feed Nieri: his touch made it 2-2. Nieri again a minute later almost surprises Raffaelli with a poisonous assisted shot.
