(Teleborsa) – The board of directors of Intesa Sanpaolo has adopted, come on proposal by the Managing Director and CEO Carlo Messinaone new organization to face the challenges of the sector in Europe with the best new managerial talents and by enhancing internal resources, in a long-term perspective. The new organization, effective from next April 2nd, involves: the merging into a single unit of wealth management activities, a strategic area of ​​the Group, with the aim of accelerating growth and encouraging greater integration of product factories; the establishment of a new governance area relating to ESG issues to guide the Group’s sustainable development strategies, with a particular commitment to social issues and the fight against inequalities; the creation of a unit dedicated to outlining the Bank’s future transformations and innovating organizational and operational models; a strengthening of the Chief Lending Officer area, which will be headed by a new credit decision-making model, capable of consolidating the important goals achieved and guaranteeing further sustainability of the results (Zero NPL Bank).

What’s new for Wealth Management

To guarantee unified control over the results relating to Wealth Management comes the Wealth Management Divisions structure was establishedentrusted to Thomas Corcos, which includes the Insurance Divisions, entrusted to Virginia Borla, Asset Management, entrusted to Maria Luisa Gota, and Private Banking, entrusted to Lino Mainolfi. A “Fees & Commissions” control room, chaired directly by the Managing Director and CEO, will be focused on monitoring, overseeing and coordinating the strategies necessary to increase revenue from commissions of all the Group’s Divisions. Saverio Perissinotto, who has successfully led the growth of the Asset Management Division in recent years, achieving significant results, will be president of Eurizon Capital SGR.

The change of Chief Financial Officer

The location of Chief Financial Officer is assigned to Luca Bocca, former Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Elisabetta Stegher was appointed as the manager in charge of drafting the accounting documents, replacing Fabrizio Dabbene, who for many years ensured rigor and effectiveness in the responsibility held. In this Governance Area, the “Group Treasury & Capital Management” coordination structure is established, entrusted to Alessandro Lolli, who takes on the role of Deputy of the Chief. The new role of the Chief Sustainability Officer
