Over the Easter weekend, the RavennAntica Foundation is offering a series of events both at the Classis Ravenna Museum and in the Dante area, ranging from historical and archaeological themed conversations of the show The Wonder Lives Here to the latest Gaming Classis concert, without forgetting the special guided visits to the Dante area.

At the Classis Ravenna Museum which from Friday 29 March to Monday 1 April will be open from 10am to 5pm:

Saturday 30 March at 11am, the review “Wonder Lives Here: Classis Conversations” sees protagonist Paola Novaraauthor of important research and dissemination works, employed at the National Museum of Ravenna, who presents his latest book, “The Hundred Churches of Ravenna”, together with Marzio Casalini, of the Il Ponte Vecchio publishing house. This volume, which addresses the theme of Christian building in Ravenna in its entirety from the 4th century to the late Middle Ages, deals with the disappeared buildings, the minor ones, the modifications made over the centuries on the older ones and the restorations that second half of the nineteenth century they averted its loss. In short, a guide to Ravenna through its magnificent churches. Among Paola Novara’s best-known publications, we remember History of the archaeological discoveries of Ravenna and Classe (1998) and For the good of our monuments. Odoardo Gardella. Sunday 31 March at 5pm, the last appointment of the review Gaming Classiswhich sees La Corelli and the RavennAntica Foundation propose special events at the Classis Ravenna Museum, presents Crime in the museum. The event, created in collaboration with Spazio A, with texts by Silvia Rossetti and music composed and performed by Davide Tardozzi, sees Camilla Berardi, Marco Montanari, Rendy Anoh and Enrico Brusi on stage. The show combines music and acting and the progress of the story is in the hands of the spectators who, by following the itinerary inside the museum and using their smartphone, will be able to solve the crime committed, with the same interactive method as the opening event of the initiative.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and the Alighieri Theatre.
The project is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, the Emilia Romagna Region and the Municipality of Ravenna.

In the Dante area, in particular at Casa Dante, two guided tours promoted by the RavennAntica Foundation are scheduled for Saturday 30 March:
– at 10.30 Dante’s Ravenna, between Romanticism and contemporaneity, curated by Veronica Quarti;
