The Municipality of Modena is selling the building of the former primary schools of Marzaglia which is located in the inhabited center of Marzaglia nuova with a single auction. The commercial surface area is approximately 620 square meters on several floors and the relevant area, in Strada di Marzaglia 95, is also included in the sale. The starting auction price is 400 thousand euros. The offers, upwards. they must be presented by 12 noon on Tuesday 21 May, the auction will take place the following day.

The early twentieth century property was declared to be of cultural interest, but in December the Municipality obtained authorization for the sale, with provisions on possible interventions, from the Regional Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. The typology is typical of rural school buildings of that period, with a rectangular planimetric layout, two loaves above ground and one partially underground, large rectangular windows with a lowered arch architrave and accesses with an external staircase with a gallery.
The conditions of the sale specify that the price must be offered higher than, or at least equal to, the price set at the starting auction. The building will be awarded to the best offer, in the event of equal offers, renegotiation will take place. The award will also be made in the case of a single valid offer, as long as it is not lower than the starting price.
When submitting the offer, a security deposit of 40 thousand euros is required. The sale deed must be signed within four months of the award and on that occasion the payment of 30 percent of the offered price is expected.
