PORTICOS. MAYOR CUOMO VICTIM OF STALKING FOR TWO YEARS
Descriptive text here

For about two years the mayor of Portici, Enzo Cuomo, has been the victim of stalking by a woman.

The story began when the woman told the mayor that she wanted to exercise her right to obtain a “job at the Municipality”. The answer, according to Cuomo himself, was that it was not possible, that to work in a public body a competitive procedure would have been necessary. From that moment a real persecution would begin. “The woman – explained Mayor Cuomo – started ringing the house phone, even late in the evening or early in the morning”. The mayor met her on several occasions, including during political meetings of national importance. As in the case of an electoral demonstration at the Maritime Station in the presence of the President of the Region Vincenzo De Luca. In that case she told Mayor Cuomo to take her home by car since it was her institutional duty. Subsequently, on the occasion of a Festa dell’Unità in front of Palazzo San Giacomo, the woman would have asked to be reimbursed for the 30 euros spent to reach the demonstration by taxi. A story which, however, for Cuomo “opens up a reflection: if the roles were reversed, with a mayor and a male citizen, what would have happened?”

There are already three complaints made by the mayor together with about ten reports to the police. The woman was also denounced for slander by the lawyer Maurizio Capozzo, consultant to Mayor Cuomo, after an intrusion into the municipal offices that took place a few months ago.
