Baton d’Or

The wooden trophy, called Bâton d’Or, is a symbol par excellence of prestige in the world of Aosta Valley Fiolet. The names of the champions of the traditional sport are engraved on the stick, carved by a craftsman from Saint-Nicolas a century ago. A century later, after many interruptions – the longest being that of the Second World War which pushed René Fusinaz to hide the baton so that it would not be damaged -, the trophy is still awarded to the player, already among the most talented in the championship, who achieves the most points in 10 bars.

The champions of the fiolet

Keeping the bâton d’or is a true honor, the symbol of primacy remains in the possession of the reigning champion for a year. Daniel Olivier he is the one who has won the trophy the most times: signing 10 editions. Enrico Francesia, follows him in second place, having won the title seven times. Third Paolo Come.
