Eric Clapton at the Lucca Summer Festival on June 2, 2024

“Last minute” coup of the Lucca Summer Festival, whose 2024 program seemed to have been defined and which instead is enriched with another name. The next June 2nd in fact, in the area of the former Balilla field under the stands of the Walls, Eric Clapton will perform.

This concert marks the return of the English guitarist 18 years after his last time in Lucca.

For the British artist it will be his only Italian date of the year, during which together with his band he will retrace the main successes of a very long career which has seen him leader of historic bands such as Cream, Derek and The Dominos and Yardbirds.

With Clapton’s announcement the number of artists on the bill for the edition rises to 17, for a total of 19 evenings.

Ed Sheeran (8-9 June) and Duran Duran (21-23 July) will in fact perform on double dates.

An absolute record for the event, which this year will last approximately 2 months (from 2 June to 28 July), dividing itself as per tradition between the venues of the former Campo Balilla and Piazza Napoleone, in the historic centre.
