Present at the meeting, requested by the director of the District Giuseppe Pace, were the general director of the ASL Brindisi Maurizio De Nuccio, the engineer Renato Admirabile of the Technical Area, director of the works, and the health advisor of President Emiliano, Tommaso Gioia.
The meeting served to take stock of a logistical redefinition of the spaces and on the works that are being completed in the structure.
In detail the work of the territorial assistance unit:
– ground floor, works with ERDF funds on the Medical Guard, the First Aid Point, the Radiology with new CT scan, the Blood Testing Center and the SERD, the latter two services will be active in the new environments next May.
– on the first floor, work is being completed in the Oncology department while the new vaccination offices for travelers are already fully operational.
– on the second floor, the completion of the air conditioning system in the operating day-surgery rooms is added to the already built outpatient clinic area.
– on the third floor, the works of the Territorial Operations Center were completed with PNRR funding which also affected the area in front with the creation of a large waiting room and reception for the clinics present.
– finally, the renovation of the fourth floor intended for the Community Hospital has been completed to allow the transfer from the current headquarters which will take place once the authorization and accreditation procedures by the Region have been completed.
The Fasano hospital had developed around the former Franciscan convent and its cloister: the interventions will allow this ancient structure to be restored to its historical and architectural value.
