Mauro Carminatian Italian engineer who had gone to Scotland for a trip, he died alone 32 years old for a viral infection mistaken for a bacterium. The grieving family awaits the return of the body to Italy.

Originally from Stezzano (province of Bergamo), Mauro Carminati he left his father Fabrizio, mother Cinzia and brothers Stefano due to a virus contracted during a 5-day holiday in Edinburgh. Mauro was a mathematical engineer graduated from the Natta scientific high school in Bergamo and graduated with 110 cum laude from the Polytechnic of Milan. After the three-year course he also completed his master’s degree, obtaining the same grade at the University of Munich.

After those two years in Germany he lived in Ingolstadt for 4 years, taking a job at Audi headquarters. In 2020 Carminati returned to Italy, covering an important role within Lamborghini of Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Lightning-fast death due to a virus

A few hours after arriving at Edinburgh for a holiday he had wanted to take for some time, Mauro complained about something strange swelling in the leg, which went black in the following hours. When he arrived at the hospital on April 26, doctors administered drugs to him antibiotics believing it was a bacterium. On May 1st the family joined him in Scotland and the boy’s health had not improved at all. Next to his family, Mauro was still lucid, but in a short time the fever rose significantly, causing acerebral hemorrhage so there was no more hope. The doctors realized that the culprit for the swelling in the leg was a virus when it was already too late. The funeral has not yet been scheduled, as we must first wait for the body to return.
