Territorial marketing entrusted by the Municipality to REI Reindustria

CREMONA – The Council, on the proposal of the Tourism Councilor Barbara Manfredinihe decided to entrust the in-house company REI – REindustria Innovazione Soc. Cons. to RL the performance of instrumental services in the field of territorial marketing of the cultural-tourism sector, organizational technical secretariat, study and planning of events, communication, development and implementation of project ideas. The objectives, contained in the outline of the contract approved with the resolution, are the valorisation, promotion and systematization of the cultural, museum and tourist offer of the city of Cremona in order to nourish the distinctive capacity and competitiveness of the territorial cultural system, as well as to its tourist attractiveness.

REI Reindustria will carry out technical-organisational and management support activities to maximize the consequences of continuity and coherence of the investments made over the years by the Municipality of Cremona regarding the cultural, museum and tourism system, as well as for the interventions planned for future years , putting in place a coordination and governance structure, and in particular the drafting of a technical-economic-legal feasibility study for the Destination Management Organization (DMO) to be established.

The award, and in particular the feasibility study relating to the DMO, follows up on the addresses expressed in the letter of intent approved by the Municipalities of Cremona, Crema, Casalmaggiore, Soncino, the Province of Cremona and the Chamber of Commerce relating to the launch of a provincial tourism development plan. Other relevant aspects concern the implementation of a platform for data management through the development of tourism products and a product catalogue, training proposals for sector operators, continuous support for analysis activities and stimulation of monitoring indicators for the achievement of the objectives that the Institution has set itself in the Implementation Plan of the activities of the ‘Cremona Musei’ Museum System, in the Plan for the Protection of Cremonese Violin Making Know-how, in the Strategic Plan of the Tourist System. Finally, the development of the brand identity is planned: strategy and brand manual.
