Deputy Inspector Salvatore Caruso has reached the moment of retirement after over forty years of service in the State Police, during which he worked in various areas, from commitment in patrols for territorial control to the coordination of operations in the Operations Room .
At the time of his farewell, in the “Sala Raciti” of the Police Headquarters, in the presence of the Police Commissioner, officials, colleagues and family members, Deputy Inspector Caruso expressed his feeling of gratitude and satisfaction for his long career. He stated that if he could go back, he would do everything he did again, as the Police was his life.
THE TRICOLOR
He thanked his family for being by his side during all these years and gave his sons, Damiano Caruso, well-known professional cyclist and Italian road cycling champion, and Federico Caruso, Chief Aviere of the Air Force, the tricolor that he had received at the beginning of his career in the Police during the day of his swearing-in. This symbolic gesture represents the values that guided his long service to the institutions and the community, with the promise of passing them on to his descendants.
