Great success in attendance at the annual Libertas Atletica Forlì party. Over 150 parents, athletes, coaches and managers met at the Hotel 3 Corti in Forlì on March 24th. An extraordinary location that welcomed the festive company to celebrate an equally extraordinary competitive year. A team of volunteers, masterfully coordinated by Councilor Patrizia Ortali, organized every detail of the lunch and the subsequent award ceremony for the best talents who stood out in 2023, allowing the company to reach cutting-edge levels in every competitive sector , from the youth categories (Beginners, Boys, Cadets), to the Overall category (Students, Juniores, Promises), to the Masters over 34. A truly magical year with mind-boggling numbers: 32 minimum outdoor and 8 indoor participation in the Italian Championships of category with a silver and a bronze, 12 Italian Libertas Champion titles, dozens of Provincial Champion titles in the youth sector and the same number in the absolute outdoor and indoor one, 4th team classified in the Absolute CdS and 6th in the National B final.

Doing the honors was the president of Libertas Sara Samorì, who illustrated to the audience the brilliant 2023 competitive season and the continuous growth of the youth sector, both in terms of results and in the increase in the number of members of the Athletics School.

In the initial stages of the ceremony, two athletics authorities took part and greeted those present: the President of the National Fidal Stefano Mei and the President of the Regional Fidal Alberto Morini. Among the prestigious guests is the Honorable Rosaria Tassinari, former Mayor of the Municipality of Rocca San Casciano from 2009 to 2019, Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Forlì since 2019 and Deputy of the Republic since 2022. As regards the technical area, Marinella Vaccari Zanetti was present, an illustrious figure in Emilian athletics, who from 1998 to today has literally mastered one of the most technically difficult specialties: the women’s hammer throw. Having risen to national and international headlines as the coach of Ester Balassini and currently of Sara Fantini, her athletes have taken the Italian record from 60.91m to 75.77m.

All the athletes who took part in the provincial and regional youth sector representatives, the Regional Champions, the Italian Libertas Champions, the members of the team that took part in the National B Final of the Absolute CdS and all the participants in the Italian championships in each category.
