Serious accident last night around 9.30pm on the ring road at the interchange between the north and south sections in Rivoli, towards Piacenza. A car with only the driver on board crashed violently into the guard rail and in the collision the person driving was thrown out of the passenger compartment. Therefore, she was probably without a seat belt or not fastened correctly: the investigations into this were carried out by the Polstrada officers.
Witnesses to the accident immediately raised the alarm for the immediate intervention of the firefighters and the ambulance of the green cross of Villastellone. The driver was taken to the Turin CTO in serious condition where doctors examined him and hospitalized him for the trauma he suffered. Part of the roadway was closed to traffic to allow investigations to be carried out. The car was partially destroyed in the impact. No other vehicles were involved: the dynamics of the accident are being reconstructed, to exclude (as it seems) the involvement of third vehicles.
