On the occasion of the next championship match on the Brindisi pitch, Dinamo Sassari player Stephane Gombauld spoke at the press conference to present the next match they will play on Saturday 30 March at 8.00 pm. Below are the words of the Sassari centre.
Mentality
“In Trento we completely got the approach wrong, not responding correctly to their physicality. We have never put the right energy into fighting them. In Brindisi we must not repeat the mistakes made, we must learn and capitalize on our mistakes by adopting a different mentality.”
About the race
“The key will be to go there aware of having to fight, put in energy and physicality. They will be with a knife between their teeth, they have a lot of talent, but we are fine too. We have to do our things carefully and aware that we have to fight for all 40 minutes.”
Trust
“I don’t think the defeat against Trento affected our confidence, it’s still us. We are aware of our means, we just have to think about winning. When you lose you have to be good at changing immediately without dwelling too much on what happened.”
Travel taboo
“This is a championship in which everyone can beat everyone, I believe that by approaching it with the right mentality, with the right determination, you can also win outside. We have to be determined and ready to fight for all 40 minutes, there are no other options.”
