On Sunday 28 April 2024, starting from 10.00 am, the event called “Walk in memory of Conny” will be held in Avola, a beloved tetraplegic German shepherd from Avola who died prematurely, whose story has struck many lovers of 4-legged friends.
The walk, organized by the “Friends of Conny” group, with the collaboration of the voluntary organization Cani Sciolti which takes care of the health kennel of the Municipality of Avola, now in its 6th edition, is an opportunity to remember Conny and to spend a day in the open air with our four-legged friends – declares spokesperson Alessia Alia – including those hosted at our municipal kennel.
The route of the walk, of approximately 2 km, will wind through the streets of the Avola lido. The meeting is scheduled for 10.30 am at Piazza Baden Powell. All participants will be offered a gadget.
Taking part in the walk in memory of Conny – continues the spokeswoman for “Gli Amici di Conny” – is a way to:
· Remembering a four-legged friend who has left us
· Spend a day outdoors with your dog
· Socialize with other animal lovers
· Contribute to raising public awareness on the importance of animal protection as well as on the importance of sterilization and microchipping, good practices for combating stray dogs.
. Introduce some of the guests of the municipal health shelter of Avola.
