Luisa, a fifth year high school student from Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, Massa Lubrense, has always had an insatiable passion for space. Since she was a child, looking up at the stars, she dreamed of one day exploring the universe. And that dream, day after day, is turning into reality.
Not only does she study scientific subjects with dedication, but she has made her passion a real commitment, becoming a scientific communicator on social media under the name Moonluisa. She is a passionate amateur astronomer, she is a member of four astrophile associations, she writes in the UAI magazine “Astronomia” and, when she can, she also dedicates herself to astrophotography.
His talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed. This year, in fact, she was invited as a speaker at the third edition of “Women among the stars”, an event held in Abano Terme, in the province of Padua, which saw the participation of internationally renowned scientists.
The objective of the event was twofold: on the one hand, to celebrate the wonders of the cosmos and its infinite possibilities; on the other, underlining the importance of female presence in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), a field that is still too poorly representative of half the population.
Luisa, with her contagious enthusiasm and her profound knowledge of the sky, was able to inspire and motivate the many girls present at the event, demonstrating that with tenacity and dedication, dreams can come true.
