MASSA FINALESE – IdeAttiva definitively closes its history. The Association had continued to collaborate with other entities after the forced closure of its headquarters in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà in Massa Finalese three years ago.
This is the note from the volunteers:
“The Association continued to collaborate with other entities after the forced closure of its headquarters in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà in Massa Finalese three years ago. The room was an active, lively, proactive place, in which projects were carried out, supported initiatives, disseminated culture and animated the country.
Now, the decision to close this volunteering and life experience takes place at the same time as the opening of a space within the multipurpose structure “Il PalaDiversivo”, created thanks to funding from the Prosolidar Foundation, which will contain the library donated by IdeAttiva and kept in recent years in parish spaces.
The management of the building and the promotion of the initiatives will be organized by PalaDiversivo, but you will find some former IdeAttiva volunteers to open the book space and help in choosing reading material especially for children. In an ideal handover, just as IdeAttiva was born from the small ManiTese library opened in a container during the 2012 earthquake, the library remains our legacy from which new possibilities can be born.
We thank all those who participated in our initiatives; we thank the many local associations with which we have collaborated and shared ideals; we thank the children we have seen grow up over the years; we thank the adults who laughed, reflected, learned or just spent a different evening with us; we thank the schools of the country and the teachers who saw an additional opportunity in IdeAttiva; we thank the many painters who participated in the painting competition, painting here and there, livening up our square; we thank the photographers who shared beauty, experiences and images with us and you; we thank the people who enriched the IdeAttiva experience by bringing something of themselves; We thank everyone who believed in a project that seemed like a utopia.
The PalaDiversivo library will be inaugurated on April 6th and we hope it will become a new community space.”
