Alessandria: Youth council, deadlines to join extended

ALEXANDRIA – It’s again the tender is open for applications to be part of the Youth council of the Municipality of Alessandria. Applications may be submitted by Friday 24 May 2024.

The application methods are as follows:

• by hand at the Protocol Office (Municipality, Piazza della Libertà 1. From Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 12)
• via certified e-mail to the address [email protected] (in the subject of the message the words “Application for municipal youth council” must be included)
• via email (simple e-mail) to the address [email protected] (in the subject of the message the wording “Application for Municipal Youth Council” must be included)

We remind you that the following can apply:

• all young people dages between 15 and 35 who, although resident in other Municipalities, have a continuous relationship with the municipal territory for reasons of study, work or home
• all the associations and informal groups who submit the application for admission, who have a contact person aged between 15 and 35
• one representative for each council group that respects the aforementioned limits. By right, municipal councilors up to 35 years of age are members of the Council. They lapse, even if they exceed this age limit, with the lapse of the Consulta
• permanent invitees are i student representatives of secondary schools and universities.

Consult, what objectives?

The Consulta, a consultative body of the Administration, proposes itself as point of reference and information on various youth issues

For example, on school, university, the world of work, culture, sport, free time and social policies. It collects information directly, with independent research or by making use of municipal structures. Promotes meetings. It assists the associations that compose it in the organization and promotion of events.

Collects and communicates to the Administration needs and requests of young Alexandrians and stimulates the active participation of young people in projects and initiatives to enhance the territory. It promotes the implementation of the Shared Administration model, through the use of collaboration agreements, to encourage the activation of young people in actions to care for the common goods of the city, to be carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Alessandria.
