Expires Tuesday April 2 the possibility of requesting theInps the bonus for separated parents introduced by the 2021 tax decree, through an amendment by the Northern League leader Matteo Salvini. This is a check from 800 euros per month intended for those who have not received the maintenance because the other parents were in financial difficulty due to the Covid-19 emergency.
But not everyone can apply. The bonus is available only for those who live with minor children (or adults with a serious handicap) and have a Isee not more than 8,174 euros. Furthermore, the parent who should have paid maintenance must have stopped or reduced the activity for at least 90 days between March 8, 2022 and March 31, 2022 and have suffered a income reduction of at least 30% compared to what was perceived in 2019.
The decree, implemented by the Meloni government, has been in the Official Journal since October 2022, but only on February 9th last year the INPS provided the instructions to access the benefit. After two years of delay, the application procedure started on February 12th. The deadline was initially set for March 31st but was postponed to April 2nd since Easter fell in between.
To apply, you need to access the INPS institutional portal using the “Contribution for separated or divorced parents” service. The years affected by the Covid-19 emergency in which the need occurred must be indicated and the necessary documentationincluding the separation sentence or the provisions that attest to the right to maintenance allowance.
The contribution will be paid in a single payment up to 800 euros per month for a maximum of twelve monthsagainst the availability of the 10 million euro fund allocated to the measure.
