The bus is not up to standard, the school trip for middle school children was blocked by Local police of Caserta. It happened this morning. The 4 tourist buses with about 200 students from a middle school in Caserta on board were about to leave for a educational visit to Puglia. Before departure, however, the White Helmet agents arrived, led by Commander Colonel Antonio Piricelli, for a surprise inspection, finding numerous anomalies in one of the four buses: the emergency door that did not open, expired fire extinguishers. The bus was blocked. About 50 students remained on the ground. The other three buses with around 150 other students, however, left. Then, around 11.30, a replacement bus arrived, this time in order, and the other remaining students also left.

Fine of 500 euros for the bus not in compliance

The inspection by the Local Police of Caserta, directed by Commander Colonel Antonio Piricelli, started in the early hours of the morning and carried out checks on some buses that were supposed to accompany middle school students on a trip to Puglia. The investigations revealed some anomalies and problems were found with the door, as well as problems with the emergency door which did not open, and the overhaul of the fire extinguishers had expired. At this point, the officers had no choice but to block the vehicle from leaving. Furthermore, they were elevated fines of around 500 euros and the bus was unable to transport the students on the trip. Problem then solved, as mentioned, thanks to the arrival of a replacement bus.
