The hosting of the last five editions of the Sanremo Festival has resulted in great success for Amadeus. The Veronese presenter, now at the helm of Affari Tui, is in great demand, and Rai has no intention of losing him, even though there have also been some disagreements between them.

There are already many who miss the host and former radio speaker at the helm of Sanremo. Amadeus was peremptory: the one that aired last February was his last Festivalat the end of five record-breaking editions, with share numbers never seen before by Rai.

During his career, the artist divided his time between Rai and Mediaset even though he owes much of his fame to Viale Mazzini. Yet, there has not always been good blood between Italian public television and the host, as Amadeus has demonstrated in recent times.

Guest last February on Porta a Porta by Bruno Vespa to talk about Sanremo 2024, which ended a few days ago, Amadeus spoke on the conflict between Israel and Palestine and wanted to respond directly to the statements of the Israeli ambassador, who had accused the event of promoting war.
“The Sanremo Festival has never promoted hatred, but has always talked about inclusion and freedom and the artists on stage asked for an end to the war, they asked for peace and asking for peace does not mean sowing hatred, exactly the opposite” explained Amadeus who then added: “The war, wherever you see it, is to be condemned: there is war that must be stopped, any war in the world”.
Speech applauded by numerous social users, although some underlined how the host could have done it directly from the Ariston stage and not in a late evening program, obviously less watched than at the Festival. His words, however, were a “slap” towards CEO Rai, who had supported the Israeli ambassador. Nonetheless, the Viale Mazzini management has no intention of giving up on Amadeus, and is ready to overlook what he declared, just to still be able to count on the great numbers he manages to achieve.
