Diesel, here’s what to really worry about
Let’s take diesel: the debate is open: many say it will go into the attic, many others that it is already adapting with a transformism which, since the dawn of its introduction on the market, has made it ‘fluid’. Even the cost of diesel, although high, is always more or less below that of petrol ones. So will it be goodbye or not? For the moment, the real farewell to diesel engines that citizens and motorists have to deal with is the one that refers to possible engine failure which produce the KO. It happens to all types of engines, obviously. But what are the most faults typical of the diesel engine?
First of all, the category of faults by definition, that of the anti-particulate filter. It is a filter that allows exhaust gases to circulate, avoiding the introduction of them pollutants in the atmosphere. Alongside the problem of the particulate filter there is that of the catalystwhich is found in the drain before the silencer.
Catalyst, what it does
It serves to transform thepolluting gas, which however is not burned during the combustion that produces the action of the engine, such as hydrocarbons, or the carbon monoxide or NOSnitric, in elements that are not harmful to the environment, such as water vapor, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, based on the engine type.
