Zero-emission roads, the new turning point defeats electric vehicles

Other than electric, this innovation is truly prodigious: it defeats all its competitors.

Nowadays, owning a modern car offers many advantages. First of all, you travel safer because the safety and control systems are more effective. Secondly it pollutes lessespecially if you have chosen an electric car which therefore does not require the combustion of petrol or diesel.

There is a problem with these modern cars, however often that of the price: although everyone today knows that electric motors, for example, are the future and, if purchased en masse, would also allow us to give a real hand to the planet, on the other hand the figures they have on the market are unattainable for many.

Today, however, we’ll talk to you about truly incredible news in the automotive and motor sector. This even surpasses the electric in terms of innovation and features: that’s what it’s all about, you’ll fall in love with it too.

Here is the ammonia engine, incredible technology

Toyota launched this innovation in the automotive sector and was the first to announce the development of an ammonia engine. This engine would consist of a modified version of the internal combustion engine and works based on a molecule composed of three hydrogen atoms and one nitrogen atom, namely ammonia. So long as naturally carbon-freethis engine would favor a very important ecological transition as it would incredibly reduce the emissions of gases responsible for the greenhouse effect.

This novelty comes from collaboration between Toyota and GAC, who together gave life to the prototype powered by liquid ammonia. This would consist of a 2-liter 4-cylinder, capable of developing 161 horsepower and which would allow a 90% reduction in carbon emissions.

The ammonia problem

Although from a certain point of view the introduction of ammonia among fuels would constitute a huge innovation and an incredible step forward in the fight against pollution, on the other hand it would create a problem regarding emissions of nitrogen oxides.

Regardless of this factor, however, according to many the invention of Toyota and GAC represents a truth potentially revolutionary step forward in the field of engines, even capable of questioning the absolute dominance of electric cars as the greenest cars ever.
