IT IS DISCOVERED IN 14 SECONDS – Petrol or electricity, the customer decides: as announced some time ago, the entire Maserati range is electrified and alongside all the combustion engine models there is also a battery variant. And after the Grecale SUV and the GranTurismo coupé it’s the turn of the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore. Recently introduced on the market with the 550 HP 3.0 biturbo V6 (here the news) the discovery of the Trident takes up the shapes and mechanics of the coupé, combining it with an elegant canvas top (available in different colours) which folds in 14 seconds using the appropriate control located on the lower display of the multimedia system. The soft top activation mechanisms and the modifications necessary to compensate for the loss of rigidity resulting from the removal of the hard top have led to a weight gain of 80 kg for a total of 2,340 kg (to be verified).

A package powers the engines 92.5 kWh battery which is not positioned under the passenger compartment like on many other electric cars, but has a particular T shape. In this way the Trident engineers were able to place it where in the chassis of the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo the combustion engine and the control elements are located transmission, keeping the height of the car and seats unchanged.

REFILLS ARE FAST – Thanks to the 800 volt architecture, the battery of the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore it promises to recharge very quickly: the car accepts direct current up to 270 kW for a 20 to 80% battery recovery time of 18 minutes. As regards theautonomyaccording to the house with a “full” of energy you can travel up to 447 km in the Wltp loop.
