The cooperative Cultural Center at Passo d’uomo founded by Don Ennio Asinari and operating for several decades in Sabbioneta and its surroundings, whose main mission, inspired by Christian values alongside people, is to promote a path of human, cultural and spiritual growth in the valorization of local realities so that culture becomes an instrument of dialogue and peace, will create an event to promote and disseminate contemporary culture: Books Between the Walls the Festival of small independent and national digital publishing in the rooms of the Palazzo Ducale, Sabbioneta (MN) the next 7-8 September 2024 with the patronage of Municipality of Sabbioneta And Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation.
L’objective main is of promote independent publishing, an increasingly important player in the publishing market and which is opening up horizons of great intellectual and cultural interest, where the book returns to being a precious asset, for the care and comfort of the soul, a spokesperson for the uniqueness of the individual and for humanist ideals. The event also aims to encourage meetings between those who write and produce books that are not yet well-known, but of interest, depth and quality, and the public who may be interested in this not overly publicized realityspeaking in a familiar way.
Why Books within the Walls? Why Sabbionetasince the Renaissance cradle of patronagethanks to this event he rediscovers his vocation as Ideal City: a place where art, culture and talent are valued, in order to give voice to cutting-edge points of view that can create horizons of hope towards a more humane and aware of one’s identity future. In Sabbioneta, the A pace d’Uomo Cultural Center wants to broaden the possibilities of creating interest in an editorial production not yet discovered and widespread to open up new horizons. The two literary days will also give the public the opportunity to get to know and meet the authors (especially young ones) who will want to perform in a direct and immediate comparison with reading enthusiasts, there will be workshops for children and teenagers and other interesting opportunities to approach various forms of art.

The A Passo d’Uomo Cultural Center has recently supported the publication of two texts, one entitled Peace “Now or never” on the writings of Don Mazzolari edited by Bruno Bignami And Umberto Zanaboni which attracted a lot of interest given the relevance of the topics addressed and another entitled “For dignified work” curated by Fabrizio Aroldi And Simone Oggionni which mainly reports testimonies on the work of young people from around the world, but residing in our territory, between exploitation and hopes and was presented in various Italian locations including the Chamber of Deputies in Rome.
