GUARDIAGRELE. The over seventy events included in the program of summer events, organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with the Pro loco and other local associations, continue in Guardiagrele, including art, shows, music and book presentations, among which are the ‘Crafts exhibition body, Guardiagrele opera, Sport and values, the Garden Theatre, the San Nicola Greco Foundation, the Civil Protection, the Italian Red Cross and Punto Giovani; The singer-songwriter also collaborated on the billboard Alfredo Scogna.
The program of summer events sees, for next June 29th in Bocca di Valle, the return of the “Billy Trophy”, the now famous dog competition in the truffle hunting ring. The fifth Moto Guzzi rally is scheduled for June 30th in Piazza San Francesco, while on the 31st there will be the inauguration ceremony of the 54th Abruzzo artistic craftsmanship exhibition, a now traditional appointment in the program of Guardiasi events.
In July, on the 4th, 11th and 18th, the appointment is with the first “Faricciola Jazz – Premio Mauro Sciubba” competition, organized by the cultural association Attilio Di Paolo. On July 6th, at Belvedere Santoleri, the “Dawn Concert” is scheduled, proposed by Go Opera. The international beauty parade for the election of Miss Adriatico 2024 takes place on July 10th. Not to forget the Terrazza d’Abruzzo National Award on July 20th, which is managed by the Sport and Values Study Center, which this year hosts among the others the former Juventus goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi and the journalist Marino Bartoletti.
Many events are also scheduled for the month of August which is the month in which, from the 6th to the 8th, the patronal festivals in honor of San Donato and Sant’Emidio also take place in Guardiagrele. The celebrations of the 681st anniversary of the arrival of the relics of Saint Nicholas Greco in Guardiagrele have been set for August 9th. Of note is the unmissable event with the Notte Bianca on 13 August, the 18th the Notte dei Briganti festival and the 37th edition of the “Modesto Della Porta dialect poetry prize” on the 22nd.
Finally, there are also various book presentations held in the Palazzo dell’artigianato in via Roma, including that of Enrico Di Carlo which on the 22nd, starting at 6.30 pm, presents the book “The poet poet who sculpted emotions”.
