The commitment of Camunitas Foundation in spreading greater awareness of the importance of the relationship between man and nature and of the increasingly urgent need to truly listen to the signals that our planet is sending us remain at the center of LabOratorium, a now fixed appointment in the summer of Capo di Ponte, which returns with the seventh edition and new meetings and news in July.

The Monastery of San Salvatore remains the main location of the meetings: this is a way to highlight the candidacy path of Cluny and the European Cluniac sites for the UNESCO World Heritage List. This year too, LabOratorium offers opportunities for reflection on the world around us, whose balance (as demonstrated on many fronts) is increasingly precarious.

Three literary-themed meetings, always starting at 8.45pm: the first, on July 4th, will be with Laura Calosso, in dialogue with Paola Facchinetti to present her book “L’agave della Regina Vittoria” (Aboca Edizioni – Il bosco degli writers series).

On July 25th it will be the turn of Franco Faggiani, journalist, writer and nomad who, in dialogue with Monica Ducoli, will present his book La Compagnia del Gelso“ (Aboca Edizioni – Il Bosco degli Writers series); on August 1st, however, the closing will be entrusted to Giorgio Volpi, author of “Nature does it better (and sooner) – The surprising technological inventions that nature suggests to man (Aboca Edizioni – Il mondo di Oggi series).

The novelty of this edition of LabOratorium is instead represented by the traveling show “Up there on the mountain: the man, the beast and her”, scheduled for 11 July at 8.45pm. During a walk (divided into groups and with three staggered departures), immersed in nature, readings from “The Weight of the Butterfly” by Erri De Luca will be offered.

For the three literary meetings, booking is not mandatory but recommended, while for the traveling show it is necessary to register: in both cases you can contact 366 31 39 389 or send an email to [email protected].

LabOratorium is promoted by the Camunitas Foundation with the collaboration of Accademia Arte e Vita di
Breno, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Aboca Edizioni and the organizational support of the Foundation
Catholic School of Valle Camonica. The initiative is sponsored by the Province of Brescia, the Mountain Community of Vallecamonica, the Municipality of Capo di Ponte and is curated by the Artistic Direction of Vittorio Pedrali.
