Synopsis.

Vetta, a Roman journalist, is experiencing a moment of crisis with Federico, the man with whom she has shared the burden of existence for too many years. So she enthusiastically welcomes the invitation to a wedding that will take place in Carloforte, San Pietro Island in Southern Sardinia, where tuna swim fast, hawks keep watch and humans cultivate secrets. Vetta knows this well, having found her elsewhere on the island on a previous trip and where she hopes to convince Federico to buy a house to take refuge from the dangers of everyday life. She will be the opportunity to meet old friends again: Pietro, the diver with the sad eyes, Tango, the spinone with the face of a bad old man and Caterinetta, the old woman who builds model boats and cooks superbly. But she will also give you the opportunity, as in the best wedding tradition, to make new acquaintances, perhaps among the bride’s guests who come from Japan, a country for which Vetta has a curious fixation. During tours of the island together with Pietro and the foreign guests, driven by her journalistic flair, she enters a house hidden among the rocks of Cala Vinagra and discovering the identity of those who live there will become her new obsession.
