THE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY OF A YOUNG WOMAN WHO EXPERIENCES A TOXIC LOVE, DIFFICULT SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS AND STILL FINDS THE STRENGTH TO BE BORN AGAIN. THE FIRST SYMBOL SHEET AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST TEENAGE WOMEN WILL LEAVE FROM RIETI. PRESENT SILVIA CAPILUPPI FROM THE NATIONAL LENZUOLISOSPESI PROJECT. RIETI – The new book-testimony “A thousand minds, one mind” published by Amarganta has been released which tells the story of Benedetta, a girl who never liked herself and experienced moments of difficulty and insecurity. Through flashbacks and reflections, Benedetta tells of his emotional growth, relationships with family, friends, school and sentimental experiences. After facing a toxic and painful relationship, he finds the strength to be reborn. The autobiographical book explores themes such as love, friendship, self-esteem and resilience, offering a message of hope and rebirth. It will be presented on Friday 21 June at 6pm at the Tre Porte civic space in via della Verdura 21 in the historic center of Rieti. The presentation was supported by the “Rieti Consapevole” civic committee created for the promotion of human values and values and has long been involved in specific projects for the defense of the psychophysical health of children and adolescents.
During the meeting with the author Benedetta Rocchi, the Sabine actor and director Emanuele d’Agapiti will read some fragments of the book. The very young seventeen-year-old writer lives in Osteria Nuova, after having lived her childhood in the village of Castel di Tora, today she approaches fiction for the first time, which becomes for her a medicine to explore, understand, overcome the thousand emotions that live inside her.
A book that represents a watershed because Benedetta today has rediscovered her awareness and self-esteem. «Benedetta is a pioneer in giving voice to the malaise of the 21st century and suggests different ways of treatment, which can be an inspiration to many other young souls, bearers of Light» – highlighted Silvia Capiluppi, creator and curator of the national project Lenzuoli SOSpesi which she proposed to start from Rieti, central Italy, the embroidery of a special sheet symbolizing the fight against harassment and abuse, violence against adolescent women. She will participate in the presentation of the book to bear her testimony. Given the topics covered, the Councilor for Social Services of the Municipality of Rieti, Giovanna Palomba, will also make a speech.
The preface of the book-testimony was edited by Silvana Bonanni, President of the Edsu National Psychologists Committee: «Benedetta is the magical girl of our times, the one who arrives on planet earth with the awareness of not belonging there forever, lucid, analytical, perfect to shout all her doubts to the world and never despairs of doing it alone or with someone who wants to accompany her with love. She also gives it her all when she discovers that she is weak and submissive, dependent on unhealthy relationships that make her extremely fragile and a victim. Benedetta has the courage to tell the story and does it in writing, so that she can leave a testimonial trace in which others can also recognize themselves. She thus offers herself to restore dignity to her childhood and justify an adolescence that will belong to her for a while longer. Adolescence is complicated, but it becomes a precious gift where life experiences lead to the expansion of the soul.”
