From Canali to De Cataldo, “Books in the Park” returns to Sabaudia

The tenth edition of the cultural event “Books in the Park – when culture meets nature” organized by the “Sabaudia Culturando” Association starts on the tenth Sunday, 16 June. The event will continue until September, with a break in the month of August.

The meetings, as per tradition, will take place in the municipal court of Sabaudia. Prominent but also emerging authors will participate in the event and will present their works and dialogue with well-known interlocutors from the cultural and journalistic panorama. It starts on Sunday, at 6.30pm, with Rino Caputo discussing his latest book “Lungo Canale Mussolini” (Mondadori) with Angelo Favaro. It continues on June 20th, at 6.30 pm, with Mario Leone in conversation with Roberta Sottoriva on “The Ventotene Manifesto and the seminar – 40 years of federalist training”.

On June 21st, at 6.30 pm Barbara Schiavulli talks with Graziella Di Mambro about her book “Burqa Queen (Radio Bullets). Another appointment is scheduled for June 24th, at 6.30 pm, with Pietro Vitelli who will present his book “Sveva Caetani di Sermoneta and Dante Alighieri” (Atlantis) together with Leone D’Ambrosio.

Pier Giacomo Sottoriva will present on June 26, at 6.30 pm, together with Vito Di Ventura, his fifth book focused on the events of the Second World War in the province of Latina “La Guerra in the province of Littoria. Eighty years later (1944- 2024)”.

On July 2, at 9.15 pm, the municipal court will host Gianluca Atlante who will present the book “Vincenzo D’Amico. I wanted to play for Lazio” and he will discuss it with Maria Corsetti. The magistrate and best-selling author Giancarlo De Cataldo returns to Sabaudia on 4 July, at 9.15 pm, with “The Kiss of the Bumblebee” (Einaudi), he will talk about it with Gianni Lauretti, president of the Latina Bar Association.

It continues on July 7th, at 9.15pm with Andrea Ventura illustrating “Human thought and artificial intelligence. Risks, opportunities and social transformations” together with Licia Pastore. On July 10th, at 9.15pm, it’s Vittorio Buongiorno’s turn who will talk about his book “Escape from Santo Stefano”, the story of escapes from life imprisonment in Ventotene published by Ultima Spiaggia.

In the year of the centenary of his death, on 11 July, at 9.15 pm, Mauro Canali will illustrate his book “Il delitto Matteotti” (Il Mulino) together with Vittorio Buongiorno. In August the exhibition will take a break. It will resume on September 1st, at 6.30 pm, with the presentation of “Circe and Ulysses. Two wolves on the trail of the Sorceress” by Guido Alari who will talk about it with Roberta Sottoriva. On September 6, at 6.30 pm, Gianluca Damiani’s photographic book “Spectio” will be presented. The following day it will be the turn, again at 6.30 pm, of the presentation of “Settimo cielo” by Cristiana Lardo who will talk about it with Angelo Favaro. On September 8, at 6.30 pm, the appointment is with Andrea Comincini and his “Il Bel Paese – A tragicomic journey through the Italy of the crafty. She will talk about it with Angelo Favaro.
