After naming the Villa Comunale after the great poet and man of letters Tusiani in 2022, the bronze sculpture portraying Joseph Tusiani sitting on “his bench” was inaugurated this morning. This was announced by the Municipal Administration.

The work, created by the architect Antonio Pio Saracino (in the cover photo while he discovers it) and generously donated by the Tusiani family, it is a tribute to the man Joseph Tusiani and to the never-broken bond with the city of San Marco in Lamis and its citizens.

The bench with the bronze sculpture portraying Joseph Tusiani was dedicated to the brilliant poet, the great man of letters and a man of culture, but above all to the great man from San Marino. Created by another illustrious citizen of San Marino, the architect Antonio Pio Saracino, the sculpture represents the man before the great poet, in love with his people and his origins which he never forgot and which he brought with him to America where his talent His profound strength emerged in you. The mayor writes it on Facebook, Dr. Michele Merla which continues.

A bench, his bench, where he loved to hang out in his San Marco stays with his fellow citizens, where he loved to enjoy a privileged view, where he loved to relive his origins and his history. A dutiful tribute with which the entire city expresses its pride for a fellow citizen, a man and a great poet.

Thanks to the Tusiani family for donating the sculpture to the city, thanks to Antonio Pio Saracino for once again putting his creativity and talent at the service of our San Marco. The city will take care of this place, it will take care of its history and the beauty that culture can give – concluded the mayor.
