Part of the temporary pier built by the United States in Gaza has run aground on Tel Aviv’s Frishman Beach. The American media reported it. The facility was damaged last Friday by rough seas for the second time since it began operating in May and was restored on Wednesday. According to the New York Times, the pier may be dismantled sooner than expected as it has done little to help improve humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
On May 25, four U.S. Army ships supporting the temporary pier ran aground in rough seas. This was announced by the United States Central Command, specifying that Israel is helping to resolve the situation. “No Americans will enter Gaza. No injuries have been reported and the pier remains fully functional”, reads the note which specifies that two of the ships are now anchored on the beach near the pier, while the other two are stranded on the Israeli dock .

The Wafa agency – which cites sources in Gaza – reported “10 Palestinians killed in Israeli raids” on a house in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City and on another north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, also in the center of the Strip . Local medical sources speak of 8 deaths. The Israeli army has not yet commented on the matter.
