RAI WORK PRODUCTION TECHNICIANS, SELECTION FOR GRADUATES

Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana SpA has opened applications for the selection aimed at hiring two Production techniciansthrough a professionalizing apprenticeship contract, at the Rai headquarters in Aosta.

Availability to travel is required.

WHAT DOES THE RAI PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN DO

Production technicians at Rai carry out various activities. Here they are main tasksbased on what is indicated in the selection notice:

  • is responsible for the creation, installation and maintenance of all systems and equipment, including technologically innovative ones within the Company’s availability;

  • And responsible for the regulation and operation of technical apparatus and equipment and the assembly of productsworking directly on the creation of radio and television productions and any other original/derivative telematic contribution (e.g. internet) and, collaborating not only on the choice and use of the means, but also on the artistic aspects of the productions themselves;

  • provides for the technical operation of the transmission, as responsible for the technical quality of the product for the relevant production process phase;

  • takes care of all the operations relating to the creation and broadcasting of non-complex television productions and/or radio productions and/or any other original/derivative telematic contribution (e.g. internet) and carries out the setup of the cameras and their positioning.

REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

Citizens of Italy, the European Union and countries outside the European Union can access the Rai selection, provided they are regularly residing in Italy.

Candidates must possess i requirements which we list below:

  • aged between 18 and 29 years and 364 days;
  • possession of a five-year high school diploma, issued by:
    – Industrial Technical Institute (previous system);
    – Technical Institute for the technological sector;
    – Professional Institute for Industry and Crafts (previous regulations);
    – Professional Institute, Maintenance and technical assistance;
    – Professional, Industry and Crafts Institute for Made in Italy;
    – Professional Institute, Cultural and Entertainment Services;
    – Scientific high school.
  • car driving license cat. “B”.

CAUSES FOR EXCLUSION FROM SELECTION

Those who:

  • they were fired by Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana SpA or by another Group company for just cause or for justified subjective reason;
  • they have already done a period of continuous or split work with another employer in tasks corresponding to the qualification covered by the Notice for a period exceeding 18 months;
  • they are already employed of Rai or another Group company, as indicated in the notice;
  • have already stipulated with Rai or other Group companies one or more subordinate employment contracts, including fixed-term contracts, for the performance of the tasks covered by the Notice, as indicated in the notice.

HOW THE SELECTION IS CARRIED OUT

Candidates will be chosen on the basis of:

  • valuation of securities (which will occur automatically only based on the information entered by the candidate when completing the online form), a condition for admission to the first phase of the selection process;
  • first pre-selection phase – multiple choice written test;
  • second phase – technical interview, cognitive-motivational interview and optional interview to assess knowledge of the French language.

VALORIZATION OF SECURITIES

Students will be able to access the selective procedure first 50 units (plus any ex-aequo), identified on the basis of the score determined by the valuation of the qualifications.

The score will be formed by evaluating the following conditions:

  • diploma grade;
  • courses in Audiovisual Production – post-diploma courses lasting at least 200 hours in total (also obtained by adding different courses);
  • knowledge of the English language certified by the certifying bodies recognized by the MIUR.

FIRST PRESELECTIVE PHASE

It will consist of a multiple choice written test for the verification of:

  • level of general culture;
  • specific knowledge required by the role (IT, theories and techniques of radio, television and multimedia language, radio and television production and distribution techniques, electronics, electrical engineering, optics, audio, editing, graphics);
  • general skills and specific aptitudes;
  • knowledge of the English language.

The First Selection Phase will be carried out remotelytherefore it will be necessary to have the technical equipment indicated in the selection notice.

SECOND PHASE – IN-PRESENT INTERVIEW

The second phase will consist of:

  • technical interview for in-depth knowledge and technical-professional skills possessed, with evaluation of the curriculum vitae presented in the standard European format. The type and topics on which the interview will focus are indicated in the notice;
  • cognitive-motivational interview for getting to know the candidate and studying his motivations and expectations;
  • optional interview to assess knowledge of the French language (5 points). Only and exclusively for candidates who, when joining the initiative, declared that they possessed knowledge of the language. The assessment of knowledge of the French language (not lower than B2 level of the CEFR) will give the right to an additional score which will be added to that obtained in the other tests of Phase II (technical interview and cognitive-motivational interview).

PUBLIC NOTICE RAI TECNICI PRODUCTION SELECTION 2024 (NOTICE)

HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION

The application for admission to the RAI competition for graduated production technicians must be submitted by 12.00 on July 29, 2024.

In summary, aspirants need to follow the following steps:

  • registration on this website and/or access with your credentials;
  • joining the initiative by clicking on “Aosta 2024 production technician selection”;
  • fill in all the fields in the online form;
  • confirm participation in the initiative;
  • verify the receipt of an automatically generated email message confirming that the application has been received.

Competitors must attach to the application:

  • an updated CV in European format with photograph;
  • certificate or copy of the required qualification, with indication of the grade;
  • copy of the valid category B driving licence;
  • for those who have obtained their qualification abroad it is necessary to attach documentation certifying the recognition in Italy of the value of the foreign qualification;
  • for citizens of a country not belonging to the European Union, a copy of the valid residence permit that enables them to carry out their work activity, as well as documentation proving the availability of adequate accommodation;
  • additional documents (indicated in the notice) only if declared in the application.

FINAL RANKING LIST

At the end of the selection procedure, a ranking will be drawn up generated by the score obtained in Phase II.

The score achieved will be considered useful for the formation of the final ranking only if the candidate has achieved at least 30/50 in the technical interview and in the cognitive-motivational interview.

The rankings will remain in force for 36 months from the date of publication.

RECRUITMENT AND SALARY

The selected resources will be placed in the Company with a professionalizing apprenticeship contract (lasting 36 months), pursuant to art. 10 of the RAI CCL for Managers, Employees and Workers as Production Technicians.

Any hiring may take place during the 36 months of validity of the ranking.

The starting gross annual salary is expected to be approximately 23,550 euros which will reach the minimum gross figure of approximately 26,400 euros at the end of 36 months.

SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATIONS

Every communication with candidates will take place exclusively by email to the email address indicated when sending your application, both during the entire selection process and during the subsequent pre-hiring phase.

The results of admission to the selection, to the subsequent phases and the results of the tests taken will also be made known by publication on the home page of this portal.

The selection tests will be held ad Aosta, except for Phase I, which will take place remotely. The selection can be carried out at September 2024.
