The last chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex ended with a great twist regarding the young Himawari and the assault of two of the dangerous Shinju on the Leaf village. So let’s find out how this singular meeting developed in chapter 9, finally available on MangaPlus.

The chapter opens with the traditional color plate, this time dedicated to Team 10, formed by the trio Ino-Shika-Cho, alongside the young Himawari when she is reached by the two Shinju who attacked the village. Jura immediately admits that he followed the chakra of Naruto Uzumaki, his true target, and that he surprisingly found himself in front of the girl.

In reality, as he reveals shortly after, what followed is the singular chakra of the Nine-Tailed Fox, which seems to come from Himawari. Everyone present is taken by surprise by that revelation, even Uzumaki herself is shocked, and she doesn’t have time to move when Jura tries to imprison her by summoning a tree from the ground. Fortunately, Team 10’s battlefield coordination proves enough to save her.

Even Jura is impressed by the teamwork he has just witnessed, and suggests that they save themselves, as it is only interested in Himawari. Shikamaru contacts his son to learn the surprising revelation regarding the Nine-Tailed Fox, and the scene quickly shifts to Boruto’s refuge. After Kashin Koji’s warning about the Shinju’s assault, the protagonist returns to the village, where he meets Kawaki.

Meanwhile, Jura renews his threat by stating that he must devour Himawari to discover the truth about her chakra, and Shikamaru gets back in touch with Boruto. On the rooftops of Konoha the protagonist demonstrates extraordinary skill, easily avoiding any of Kawaki’s blows, as shown in the preview table published on the series’ official website, and knocking him out in a single blow.

Considering the danger of the opponent, Kawaki activates his own Karma, which resonates with Boruto’s. The protagonist is therefore forced to abandon the confrontation so as not to transform and lose control. This last detail strikes both Delta and Kawaki. Meanwhile, Team 10 is trying everything to protect Himawari, but Jura surprises them by generating a theriosphere from her eyes, and unleashing an incredible explosion in the heart of Konoha.

The shockwave and smoke attract Sarada and Sumire, but fortunately Himawari and her friends managed to escape without suffering any damage. As they walk away, however, the young Uzumaki asks Team 10 to leave her alone so as not to put them in danger, and shortly after speaking to Shikadai she finds herself in another dimension. Her voice reveals that she is surprised by the perspicacity with which she was found by the Shinju. This is the Nine-Tailed Foxmuch smaller than we remembered.

Finally, here is a nice but unlikely theory on the return of Naruto’s Baryon Mode to the series, and we leave you with the splendid cover of the second volume of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex dedicated to Sarada.
