After the great publicity stunt for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes organized on Venice Beach, the long-awaited new chapter of the saga The Planet of the Apes continues to be talked about for his original, not to mention surprising, ideas.
Apparently, in fact, they are already there incredibly original plans for the release of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes film on bluray: In a new interview with Ape Nation, director Wes Ball revealed that the Blu-ray of the film will contain a special version of the entire film without CGI, in order to showcase the real performances of the actors wearing the mo-cap costumes and Weta’s impressive VFX work. Basically, it will be about a version of Monkey Plant…without monkeys!
“We are preparing a little gem for blurayand viewers will be able to watch the film – the entire film – with the original scenes without CGI”, Ball explained. “It’s great, you can just sit there and enjoy the work of these amazing actors. I’ll make some comments about that with Erik [Winquist, il supervisore VFX, ndr]. I think it will be the first time everI don’t remember seeing something like this anywhere else.“
