Descriptive text here

VERGIATE – Vergiate on the wave of the Impressionists: first with Claude Monetthen with Paul Cézannenow it’s up to Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The great French author “lends” one of his works to give an extra touch of color in Corgeno. Indeed it will be along the road that leads to Lake Comabbio a new mural to take shape.

Impressionist vergiate

The signature is always the same: Cristina Destri, founder of the Vergiato association EmozionArte. His art has now become a tradition for Vergiate. It all started in 2020, when the painter reproduced one of Monet’s great works on a building in Largo Lazzari, namely “The Woman with the Parasol”. Then the encore last year, with another Impressionist exponent: Cézanne and his “Card Players” have found space on the facade of the home of the senior center which is located in Piazza San Martino in Cimbro. Now there will be the third round, always in the wake of the artistic movement born in France – in Paris in particular – in the second half of the nineteenth century. It will be a Renoir, but the chosen work will be revealed only at the inauguration of the paintingi.e. Saturday 4 May at 11am.

The next mural

«We continue in the wake of the Impressionists», comments the mayor Daniele Parrino. «In line with our desire to spread art and culture throughout the territory of Vergiate and its surroundings». The work has been done in via Leopardi, on the corner with via Franzettion the facade of a building: «We thank the owners who enthusiastically made the wall available”, adds the mayor. «But we also give thanks Cristina Destri and her collaborators, who freely granted their availability to carry out the work”. Once the ribbon on this last job has been cut, you will immediately start thinking about the next objective. The advance: «Next year it’s Sesona’s turn».
