Il 2025 it’s about to go into the archive and into the house Rai another great year ends successes. From the ‘return’ of Sandokan with Can Yaman The Count of Monte Cristo until the reruns of Inspector Montalbanoin fact, the first evenings dedicated to fiction they did not disappoint in terms of TV ratings. However, there were some missteps. Let’s find out the classification of the most watched series of the year, i flop e all the details.

Rai Fiction, the most watched series of 2025

Il 2025 from the Rai opened with one of the most ambitious productions of recent years in Viale Mazzini. International cast (led by Sam Claflin in the role of the protagonist Edmond Dantès and with ‘our’ Linen Pillow), high budget bets and attention to detail: The Count of Monte Cristo it didn’t disappoint expectations and it was the miniseries more seen of the last year. In four events – from 13 January to 3 February – the drama directed by Bille August and based on the famous novel of the same name by Alexandre Dumas came close to 5 and a half million viewers, reaching the 29% of shares. Second step of the podium for Sandokan: the series based on the adventure novels by Emilio Salgari with Can Yaman as the ‘Malaysian Tiger’ he reached the 28% share with an average of 4.6 million viewers. Third place, a bit of a surprise, though Mina September: fiction with Serena Rossi seems to know no limits and the third season achieved an average of 4 and a half million viewers (25% share). Also worth mentioning is the triumph of Blanca: fiction with Maria Chiara Giannetta was very followed (and commented on on social media), ending with a real boom at 25.3% share and 4.2 million viewers tuned in for the last episode. Infallible, as always, too Inspector Montalbano. Back on air for yet another cycle of reruns on the occasion of the centenary of Andrea Camilleri, Luca Zingaretti it has confirmed itself as a magnet for ratings and a certainty for the Rai schedule.

The Rai flops of the year: Miriam Leone stumbles

In a year full of great successes, obviously, there was no shortage of missteps for Rai. Between the flop there is certainly hotter Miss Fallaci: the miniseries with Miriam Leone in the role of the writer Oriana Fallaci it didn’t break through and, after a debut with over 18% share, it also collapsed below 13% share, never actually managing to win over the state TV audience in prime time. A semi-failure that also cost many criticisms to Miriam Leone. Although we cannot speak of a flop, however, it is surprising to see But Tataranni out of the Top 3, waiting for the fifth and probably final season of the series with Vanessa Scalera.
