With the start of the summer season, the municipal administration of Verona is monitoring the situation of the premises on the Torricelle to prevent some safety issues of their users and the liveability of the area, taking into account the different needs.

One of the initiatives launched is that of provide young people with an alternative means of transport to the car which responds to two needs: to guarantee the safety of boys and girls leaving the premises and at the same time solving the problem of wild stop.
For this purpose, a new Atv bus line has been activated for the first time, which allows you to reach Torricelle every evening from 8 pm to 2 am, departing from Porta Vescovo and passing through Borgo Trento, Piazzale Stefani, via Mameli, Valdonega up to Torricelle. It is the urban line 85which joins the new 80 lines established by Atv on the instructions of the Municipality to enhance the offer of the summer service in the evening hours.

«We have started a discussion with the owners of the premises on the Torricelle to address the main issues that arise during the summer months» explains the Councilor for Security Stefania Zivelonghi. «We try to contemplate the different needs of the residents, the managers of the premises and their users, a balance that can be achieved with everyone’s commitment. One of the issues that is closest to our hearts is certainly the safety of young people during their return home, therefore we remember the new service activated by ATV with an evening public transport line that leads directly to Torricelle”.
The Administration has discussed the same issues in recent days also met the managers of bars and clubs in Veronettaalso frequented during the summer by many university students.
