TREVISO – All the five defendants accused of exploitation and aiding and abetting prostitution in the trial for a call girl ring advertised online were acquitted. The prosecution had requested almost 27 years of imprisonment, while for six other defendants it had already requested acquittal. More than 13 years after the investigation began, the first degree of judgment has concluded. Acquittal, therefore, for Daniele Zuliani67 years old from Silea, his then partner Sandra Eliza Ferreiraaged 61, Stefano Davì54 years old from Rovigo, Andrea Longato43 years old from Castelfranco e Luca Cassin59 years old from Vicenza.
Online hard ads
According to the accusations, the hard ads they were published on dating sites through which escorts and prostitutes procured clients. Sites managed, for the Prosecutor’s Office, by an organization made up of managers, intermediaries between them and the call girls, second level agents but also photographers or unsuspecting frontmen and the holders of the current accounts through which the money paid by the escorts to have a space can be transferred dedicated in the various portals. A business that for the investigators brought in tens of thousands of euros a month. At the top of the association, according to the indictment, were Daniele Zuliani and Sandra Eliza Ferreira. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Zuliani and Ferreira, together with Davì, were the owners of 4 different websitesfrom best-annunci.com to cercoamici-vip.com where the ads appeared, far from being disguised.

The investigation started from Udine, an offshoot of a tragic crime story. That is, the arrest of Ramon Berloso, the 35-year-old from Gorizia at the time of the events (who later died in hospital after a suicide attempt in prison, ed.) who had been renamed the “crossbow killer”. The man, in fact, was considered responsible for the murder of two prostitutes. According to investigators, Berloso hooked up with the victims through the incriminated sites. In the parallel investigation (before it was moved to Treviso for territorial jurisdiction) over twenty people were involved (some pleaded guilty) because, by getting paid for the red-light ads, they had exploited the activity of at least 32 prostitutes.
