Rins suffered a bad fall: he suffered a fracture and will have further tests in Madrid.

Dutch Grand Prix to forget for Alex Rins, who after the difficulties of Friday and Saturday suffered a bad fall immediately after the start of the long race. A nasty highside in Turn 1 which saw him fly from his Yamaha M1 and land hard on the asphalt. Obviously, he was immediately taken to the Medical Center for all the necessary checks.

MotoGP Assen, how Rins is doing after the crash

According to the information that came from the TT Circuit, the Spanish rider suffered a fracture to his right wrist and another problem to his right foot. He will be taken to Madrid for tests necessary to have a more complete and detailed picture of his condition. Next weekend the race will be in Germany, at the Sachsenring, so it is important to understand if he will be able to do it. We will know in the next few days.

This injury does not change the future of Rins, who is expected to renew his contract with Yamaha until 2026. Managing director Lin Jarvis was very clear about his desire to keep the former Suzuki and LCR Honda rider, who is enthusiastic about continuing to be part of the Iwata house project. The parties are close to a total agreement and an official announcement will probably be made soon.
