Island Motorsport gets great results at the Two Valleys Rally

Still excellent results for the Siciliana Island motorsport team at the Due Valli Rally, the fourth of the seven events of the prestigious Italian Absolute Sparco Rally Championship. Along the selective asphalts of the Veronese area, in fact, Simone Campedelli won a precious silver and thus achieved the fourth podium of the season , he relaunched himself in the fight for the title by gaining second place in the provisional ranking of the Italian series. Yet, for the driver from Cesena, still driving the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 of Step Five Motorsport with Pirelli tires and flanked in the cockpit by his partner Tania Canton, the Verona race had not started under the best auspices. Thanks to a spin during the second special test of the seven scheduled (held on Friday), the driver from Romagna fell to seventh place. Without losing heart, the next day he made a great comeback, climbing up to third place, which changed to second in the final stages due to the withdrawal of those in front of him. Another protagonist of the two days in Veneto was also the other standard bearer Fabio Angelucci, on board the Citroen C3 Rally2 of D-Max Racing “fitted” by Pirelli and always paired with Massimo “Max” Cambria. The Roman driver, in fact, could not have hoped for a better birthday present (celebrated on 28 June) by entering the top ten of the Italian Rally Promotion Championship (CIRP) and, above all, finishing second in a competitive “Over 55”, where he acquired reality full score which allowed him to regain the category leadership.
