West Bank: Israeli occupation forces demolished 17 homes in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and another home in Israel owned by Palestinian citizens in one day.
The Israeli army demolished four houses in Jericho, in the eastern West Bank, belonging to Firas Abu al-Zeit, Kamal Mahmoud Baraka and Samer Hassasna, on the pretext that they had been built without permits.
In the village of Bitello, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, the Israeli occupation army demolished a three-story house belonging to Muhammad Wajih Bazar.
In occupied East Jerusalem, the Israeli municipality demolished a house belonging to the Abu Subeih family, in the Wadi Qaddoum neighborhood of the city of Silwan. The house was demolished manually due to the narrow streets that army bulldozers could not navigate.
In the city of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation army demolished 11 homes and other structures belonging to the al-Hathalin family in the Umm al-Khair community of Masafer Yatta, south of the city.
In the town of Kafr Qara, Israel, bulldozers and Israeli authorities demolished a house under construction on the pretext that it was built without a permit.
According to the Authority for Resistance to the Wall and Settlements, in May the Israeli occupation authorities carried out 47 demolition operations, affecting 66 structures, including 35 inhabited houses, five uninhabited houses and 15 agricultural and other structures, in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation authorities prevent construction or land reclamation in Area C, which constitutes approximately 60% of the area of the West Bank.
