Moments of fear those experienced this morning, Friday 28 June 2024, along Via Pellizzari, in Vimercate. A car, with an 81-year-old woman on board, overturned along the Tigli ring road, near the Assi Ceramiche company, at number 21.
On site, in addition to the local police officers, there were also the 118 paramedics with the ambulance, and the Fire Brigade, who intervened to extract the driver from the wreckage of the car.
The dynamics
According to a first summary reconstruction of the dynamics of the accident it would appear that the woman, while she was at the wheel of her Audi (arriving from via Rota and traveling in the direction of via Duca degli Abruzzi) collided violently first with the pavement and then with a tree located next to the roadway. A violent impact which subsequently caused the vehicle to overturn and end its run in the center of the road.
The local police officers, who promptly arrived at the scene of the accident, could do nothing but close the road to traffic to facilitate the rescue of the woman. The latter, despite the ambulance arriving at the scene of the accident with red code and sirens blaring, has currently been transported to the ambulance where she is receiving first aid. Fortunately, her health conditions appear to be good.
