The boys of Liguria HC from Savona triumphed once again, winning their second consecutive championship in para hockey and dedicating this prestigious victory to their mentor Carlo Colla, who unfortunately was unable to accompany them on this trip to Rome for health reasons. The team, under the guidance of president Andrea Addis and striker Canay, faced with determination the two Roman teams, Archetto and US Acli, as well as the two teams from Savona, Pippo Vagabondo of Cairo Montenotte, captained by Andrea Nari, and HC Torretta of Paolo Bencardino, who withdrew at the last moment.

The victory has a special flavor for president Addis, who wanted to dedicate the success to the memory of the late Mearelli, a reference figure for the team and the Savona sports community.

In the second division (Open Promo), Vincenzo Sonnessa’s IIS Tenente Righetti prevailed over Mercurio Roma, demonstrating great superiority and taking first place ahead of Mallare’s Rosa dei Venti, led by president Alessandro Nari. This series saw fierce competition and highlighted new emerging talents in the Italian para hockey scene.

Another novelty this year was the introduction of the third series, called Open Promo Plus, which saw the participation of three Roman teams, all capable of sharing the podium with high-level performances.

For the Rosa dei Venti the following took the field: Francesco Z., Francesco M., Susanna, Teresa, Nadia, Giusy, Rita, Chiara, Lorenzo, Massimo, Paolo. While the Pippo Vagabondo team fielded Gabriel, Maksym, Stefano, Dimitrii, Rayan, Bruno and Marwane, demonstrating great cohesion and team spirit.

Special thanks go to the “Il Faggio” Cooperative represented by Alessandra, Simonetta and Rocco, and to the Raggio di Sole association, with the contribution of Walter Baccino, for the precious collaboration that made the organization of these sporting events possible.

This double triumph of Liguria HC in para hockey represents not only a great sporting success, but also a moment of strong unity and solidarity within the Italian hockey community, underlining the importance of teamwork, dedication and passion for the sport.
