The different climate between North and South has also changed free time in this period. In many northern regions, heavy rains have caused mushrooms, even huge ones, to sprout, much to the delight of pickers. Monte Caio is a peak in the Parma Apennines: geographically, it is located between the municipalities of Palanzano, Tizzano Val Parma and Corniglio and culminates with Punta Bocchialini at an altitude of 1,584 metres; the peak is located in the municipality of Palanzano. It is the mountain with a height above 1,500 meters closest to the provincial capital Parma (38 km).
