MODENA – In Prignano the heaviest rains, 140 millimeters in a few hours, calculated before another storm broke out. The bridge over the Rossenna which was taken away has cut off a breeding farm of Beagle dogs, and with them goats and chickens, which Alpine Rescue and Civil Protection will try to reach from an adjacent road in the afternoon to bring the animals to safety. Five people were rescued because they were stuck in the cars, fortunately all unharmed, but the situation remains complex at all altitudes, from the mountains to the lowlands. The valley floor, blocked during the night by mud at Pavullo, was reopened in a hurry; another road interrupted, the Provincial 23 of Talbignano, then rearranged; around Marano the streets Castellazzo and Rio Torto reopened in the morning; instead, via Mogno, between Monchio and the Piana, completely collapsed. Prudence called for closing the bridges, from Ponte Veggia in Sassuolo to those of the Bassa, up to San Poxidenio. Meanwhile, the alert levels for today have risen to red due to flooding of the rivers throughout the plain and the Bassa, up to the Po and until midnight; tomorrow the alert level will be lowered to orange but until then the tension remains maximum. Between the night and this morning, approximately sixty interventions were carried out by the firefighters to alleviate the discomfort caused by the invasion of the waters.
